- 3# – If you want to use a pillar drill machine to make a hole in the workpiece, then you need to put the part on the work table, on the other hand, with the radial drill machine, you can make a hole by placing the part near the machine.
- 4# – In a pillar drill machine, the part has to be repositioned to make a second hole in the same workpiece, whereas in a radial drill machine, a second hole can be made without moving the part.
- 5# – Pillar drill machine weight ranges from 120kg to 1700kg on average, on the other hand, the average weight of a radial drill machine ranges from 100kg to 4500kg.
- 6# – A pillar drill machine is also known as a drill press, while a radial drill machine has its own pet name which is “radial drill press.”
- 7# – Pillar drill machines are cheaper than radial drill machines and they also occupy less area.
